Love me some Sean Miller, great guy. Got to know him real well over my time in AAU and going into college. Was a sad day when he left Xavier, that school has gone south. If you're a Maryland fan, you gotta be loving Dez. That kid can flat out ball, one of the quickest first steps I ever played against.[/quote]

Yea, love Dez but he's been forced out of position way too much under Turgeon. Layman is really the big time pro prospect on the terps right now, but they are really thin this year in terms of depth. Losing Seth Allen, their starting pg, has dampened most ooc hopes. Not that dunking matters, but Dez can light up a rim off of either foot and w/either hand. Looking forward to Maryland/osu tomorrow

Well, we only have 4 undergrads on here, so I would say PF does nothing to reach out. I didn't even know about PF until the latter part of my senior year. I've always thought they should do a thing on the blvd or something and I brought it up once too. But, I guess it's there call. I think being a part of this forum automatically makes you a bigger fan just by talking about SMU and such

There's more students lurking then you think. I mention pony fans a lot in any SMU sports conversation, and more people know what I'm talking about then you'd think. Most of the time students don't have much to add because we are for the most part brand new SMU fans.

It'd be great to have more students here. This is where you start to develop the deep cynicism that will carry you through your fandom old age.

I joined the old boards as a student under a different name when they (and the internet) were brand new and got lambasted for trying to explain why we had low student turnout and nobody in Dallas cared. That was probably 14 years ago.

Oh I've already started. I'll sit there and [deleted] the entire time during a smu football game if we are getting killed but the second a person who isn't an SMU fan starts talking bad, it'll set me off.

Stand Up's problem is not pacing himself. I started here over two years and just posted every once in awhile if I had valuable input. Lately I have been posting more and more.

If the Bucks shoot well, it's a route. If it's a grinder, not sure who it favors. I'll be there for it. Really wanted to take my MSU tickets and check out UNC live, but fvck it. Would rather watch the Bucks. Atmosphere is gonna suck tho, nobody is excited about Maryland for some reason. The Breslin will be rocking, that's for sure.

coloradostang I understand what you're saying. I lurked for over a year before I even made an account so I could learn about the real ins and outs of the program and these boards. I think getting a feel for them is honestly pretty important just so people get to know you and hopefully you can gain people's respect.

However, I would love to see a few more students here and there throw out a post every now and then. I'm class of '12, so it's not like I'm that much older than all of you (I hope, right? Or am I too old for home bar now??? :D )
