Build your program and beat Texas Tech and Baylor and then they might be interested. that is the only way SMU builds its fan base. We aren't Fresno St or Kansas St or any other of the dis-similiar programs you might want to compare. SMU will only improve its attendance by beating schools that Dallas cares about. Hopefully some day you get to see what many of us know-because then we will at least have a strong team playing before the same 20,000

stallion- good god, that is probably the third thing we have agreed on this year. You are a good knowledable poster but I have more fun being adversarial with you.

The students need to understand that going to home games is not an option. You HAVE TO GO!
That's how it is in other programs. TCU students go to their football games win or lose. The 400 at the UCF game is embarrassing and SMU has to do something about it NOW!

that is #2 on the list after a new coach. I would not ask students to go to a game that is totally boring and coached by a coach who continually insults our university and traditions. Would you??

I agree that a coach is #1 right at this moment. But to get to BCS we need a fan base that is loyal and will be with the team in winning seasons as well as losing seasons.

TCU went 4-8 this year, but brought an exciting defensive product into the field and their offense although sluggish kept them in contest. Most of their losses were within 3-7 points except the UT blowout. And their fans were there on their last game, they packed the house purple vs. Baylor. We need to create that school spirit...which is nonexistent on campus. Moody is our first test moving forward.

TCU didn't do it until they won consistently. That's how they got students into it and that's how they got the Tshirt fans.
