Deadspin wasn't the only one reporting this stuff.

But a major question is that you have to wonder about David Stern and why he never took any action against Starling?

Agreed

I was not justifying the NAACP. Just stating they had awarded him before and it was due to money received.

On the recording I still say it is ok but just not admissable in some states. Apparently California is one of those states. When I was a private investigator inTexas we had a single consent law.

My understanding is that CA is a handful of two-party consent law states

Not sure if I was breaking the law or not but when we had dealings in a two party consent state we would still record. We knew it was not admissable in court but we could spend time analyzing what was said or bring in others to listen and discuss the case. Again, maybe I was breaking the law but we interpreted it as we could record but just not use it against the party.

While we're at it, what other illegal or potentially illegal activities have you engaged in in the past?

I will have to research the statute of limitations on certain acts before I can answer that question.

Unfortunately, many civil rights groups will tend to look the other way if you make large contributions to them or their pet causes. In a world with google, it is insane to give someone an award without doing a few simple search.

Whether or not Sterling was illegally wiretapped is not relevant but I'm not a judge or Harvard lawyer.
The owners have lots of ammunition on this guy other than this once incident. I'm shocked that they never acted in the past. Some of the Fox News type comments on this board in the name of "Devils Advocacy" are a disturbing but whatever. Same folks who probably raised a stink in previous generations about allowing African Americans and Women the vote.

Stallion is correct. The system will take care of this loser clown in the name of "free enterprise" because at the end of the day no one will attend Clippers games if he remains the owner.

What does Donald Sterling have to do with SMU basketball? These kinds of threads lead to nothing but problems.

Thank you. I would like to hear an interview with Q. Get his thoughts on Sterling, how weird those few days were during his supposed passing and what he has going on these days. I wouldn't be surprised if ended up on LB's staff in some capacity. He's one of my favorite Mustangs ever.

FOLLOW THE MONEY
1) NAACP was founded primary by socialist Jews. Had only one original black founding member, W. E. B. Du Bois.
2) Donald Sterling, who had changed his last name from Tokowitz, is a not so nice Jewish boy.
3) Donny registered as a Republican in 1998 after many years of contributing to Democratic candidates and causes. (I have registered as a Democrat in many primary contests, although I'm an Independent, so as to vote and screw up that party's candidate process).
4) Donny has contributed monies to the NAACP many times.
5) Donny was sued by his company's Executive Vice President (for 21 years) Elgin Baylor for age and racial discrimination back in 2001. Elgin lost. (Yeah, I work for this racist, age hater for 21 Years, and it just dawned on me who he was after I was let go) Great plaintiff's position.
6) Donny's firm settles out of court, a lawsuit accusing them of racial discrimination in rental policy against Latinos and Blacks by the Housing Right Center, a not-for-profit. This lawsuit starts in 2003 and is settled in 2005 by Sterling's firm ordered to pay $5 million in legal fees to plaintiff's attorney.
7)Donny's firm is sued by DOJ for racial discrimination toward minorities in its real estate policies, and pays a fine of $3 Million in 2006.
8) NAACP gives a Life Time Achievement Award to Donny in 2009.
9) NAACP were schedule to give Donny another Life Time Achievement Award in May 2014.
10) Sh-t hits the fan when Donny's soon to be ex "Trophy Girlfriend" (obviously he did not win first place based upon her looks) some how lets privately taped conversations get leaked to TMZ, after she is sued by Donny's wife, Rochelle for $3 million.
11) The race baiters and vultures come out of the woodwork to descend on a liberal/progressive racial bigot. Al Sharpton, mental wiz/articulate troubador THC infused Snopp-Dogg, and the divorce/family problem greenmailer/shill Magic Johnson [fronts for LA Dodger owners, Guggenheim Partners, Mark Walter, Stan Kasten, Todd Boehly (all directors of The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation), and Peter Gruber, an owner of the Golden State Warriors and owner of Mandalay Bay Entertainment] just like in the LA Dodger McCourt family feud.
12) Donny has owned an NBA team longer than anyone. He has vetted all the of the people who own the other teams. So you don't think he knows where the skeletons are in the various closets.
13) This is a not so nice Jewish men's club. NBA owners include Sterling, Levenson, Gores, Reinsdorf, Simon, Lacob, Kohl, Aron, Tanenbaum. David Stern steps down as the NBA Commissioner (since the early 1980's), who is succeeded by Adam Silver. .

All sides in this giant pile of excrement deserve each other, whether they are white or black. Do as I say, and not as I do is their motto. Sit back and just follow the money and you'll see all their unctious positions surface.

Hope this has been an entertaining read.
