Nah, while I will always stand behind your tags and wish we would go back to Harvard crimson and Yale blue, winning isn't going to make our logo look less plain. There's a reason why every corporation in America is not still using their logo from 1911, nor returning to logos from the past. I respectfully dissent. Having a more wearable logo would go a long way, I think.
I really wish we would drop all references to "Harvard Crimson and Yale blue". This is almost as bad as A&M mentioning UT in their fight song. Let's just have our red and blue and quit trying to associate ourselves with 2 other institutions...................

Kinda hard to do that, given that it's one of those essential parts of SMU's history...not that there's not been any effort along those lines. For reference, the "Bit of History" on this page:

Its just one of those bits of history that I wish would fade away. It makes us look like wannabes and I think we are past that............

Yes, I can't stand that Yale blue anyway. At least if that is what they are calling the shade of blue that is in the Ford Stadium endzones. I prefer the darker blue.

The darker blue is the Yale blue. Next time you are at Ford stadium, look at the SMU flag flying by the American flag. Those are the correct Yale Blue and Harvard Crimson colors. Both are dark shades of their respective colors (unless they use a new flag this year). The "new" SMU Blue and Red are what you see in the end zone.
This is also Yale Blue.
