Turner didn't want to because three deep pocketed money guys weren't ready to give up on him yet. I'm guessing that has changed.

It comes down to effort, recruiting ,and coaching and we have little of any of them. Our oline is slow and unathletic, our dline is very small and not very athletic, our linebackers are athletic but don't do enough and our secondary is below average too. Our qbs are hard to judge due to the inane offense we run and because our line sucks but they not very talented except for possibly Davis. Hence this is a very poor program and going nowhere.

I agree with Rebel10. I won't go to another game until June is canned. Tailgates? I'm game

As said, every school has its troublemakers. I talked to several SMU fans while in the unbelievably slow moving beer lines, and found all to be good people. Regardless of the outcome one way or the other, it's a good series and I'm looking forward to the trip to Ford next year.

I agree. Sadly its the same crap, different year, different decade. How many more seasons like this can I keep caring about?

My son is 12 and he never wants to go to another game at SMU because of the vulgar language and rudeness of several SMU fans about 3-4 yrs back. So...it happens at every school unfortunately.

Agreed, i know smu fans can be like that (especially at moody), but I should be able to walk around a stadium without being serenaded by cuss words every second

Try going to a game in Lubbock ugly

I saw this coming and did not renew 7 season tickets and the tailgate spot I've has for the past 12 years. Was done with it last year.

SMU football is laughable.

It doesn't need convincing, you guys have said this is the biggest game ever at apogee, and stirred up a #beatsmu campaign when we are one of the worst teams in the country

There's a thread on your board asking if a win over us is a program defining win, I will end the conversation there

Even my great grandparents attended SMU games from the first season on my mom's side. I've always attended a home SMU game ever since I was born sooooooo I'll go to one home game next game against aTm. I need to anyway because I have a few guests coming. And don't worry that they will be miserable because it is a few daughters of my cousins who attend aTm!
Those girls grandparents used to support SMU but that's part of my dad's side of the family that used to support SMU but one by one started going to aTm, Baylor, Sam Houston, Yale, Pepperdine and other universities.
They got tired of the SMU [deleted].

Makes me wonder why I should make the trip from Pennsylvania for several games in October. I guess the answer is to see old SMU friends, coaches and enjoy our beautiful campus. This assumes anyone still shows up again for me to see them. Disappointing is not even an appropriate description.

I don't need to convince myself of that, their behavior has made it abundantly clear. Though what's really cute is that their win is the best thing that could happen to our program. They want to this to be a rivalry so badly and it never will be.
