USC had a lot more to lose firing Kiffin mid-season than we do of firing June now, but they did it anyway. Pull the trigger, and get rid of him.

I very seriously doubt he gets canned during season. Because the perception is: this guy brought you out of the cellar and had 2 bad games and you can him?!? Yes SMU is indeed a bad place to go - stay away!

Of course all of us here on this board know the standard has been raised and it's very much passed time to move on. Devils advocate would say "well, who helped raise those standards? The guy you're firing!"

That's the only way SMU can do it

This is a great idea even if he doesn't leave.

Reassign him to an office in Dallas Hall and make him show up every day until the season ends

Tell him he is going to be in charge of alumni relations and has to get out for meet and greets. He will leave

I honestly don't believe our admin will do the right thing. This was evident when they didn't fire his [deleted] after the asu fiasco. Hope I'm wrong.

All I know is that I can't imagine anyone else that gets paid $2mm per year for as little as June does here.

This team needs to overall its offensive scheme, something that cannot be done in two weeks.
I'm not defending Coach Jones but it would be helpful if the offensive line could actually block someone.

And our return game, except for one outstanding punt return against Baylor, has been dreadful.
It seems like we start every series inside our own 10. If you are going to run it out of the end
zone, you had better make it to at least the 25-yard line.

it's not even close to mid-season,
