I once asked Bill Cowher about good performance vs bad behavior when managing teams (sales conference). He said how good the performance tells you how tolerable you are of the bad behavior. If a key piece of your team (yes, Nlemhci is now) smokes weed, you figure it out and get him on the field (he didn't rape anyone). Just my opinion. It's a fine line, and I understand what Stallion is saying. Maybe Nlemchi's 3 strikes were up (if that's the SMU policy). If so, damn shame.

Or you could just do the right thing and let the chips fall where they may.

Plenty of legal drugs to enjoy that won't show up on a drug test or get you arrested.

No no no no no no. If anyone offers you any of these turn and run and reconsider the people you hang out with.

But seriously, how do these guys fail drug tests? As much as they sweat and drink water, a casual smoker will only be dirty for a couple of days

They do it every day!!

While I don't know SMU's policy, I have read that most schools require multiple positive tests before players are suspended. Since they don't test everyday (unless you are Charlie Strong), very few players get caught.

Along with the linebackers that hired an escort, didn't pay her, left her at their house alone to steal their stuff, and THEN reported it to the police, this is just more empirical evidence that SMU doesn't have elevated standards for athletes.

Lemur should try some. Maybe he would get some satisfaction.

If a Strong is enforcing daily drug testing their recruiting will take a serious hit.

Although I didn't go there as an undergrad, part of UT's appeal is the party school/city reputation (well earned) that UT/Austin have. Many UT fans are worried that Strong's get tough approach will seriously hurt recruiting.

Isn't SMU in a global city? Partying should be there by default. And SMU is a party school.

Last week in the DMN, Barry Switzer was interviewed. One of the questions was about What Barry thought of Charlie Strong's discipline approach? He loved it. His feeling was what parent wouldn't want their kid playing for Charlie Strong?
The outlaw coach endorsing a coach that that does not put up with any BS from his players. Pretty funny

Dallas is a great city with a decent nightlife. But, SMU's days as a "party school" are long past. Until the allow the fraternities to have keg parties in their houses, that won't change.
