From the press conference, I learned that I probably attended at least one SMU game with coach Morris back in the 80's. Every year, thanks to FCA, the parking lot of Texas Stadium was packed with buses full of 8th grade FB players. We need to get them back.

My favorite quote "there's going to be a culture change, immediately."

I hope they keep that archived, so anyone who did not get to watch it, can.
If you can watch that and not want to buy season tickets immediately, well... you're not me.
He's SO not JJ. He seems genuinely excited. Everything I wanted in a coach.

Never seen a better press conference introduction of a new head coach.
Chad Morris is Charismatic, energetic, confident and he has an SMU history of being a fan in those glory days.
And winning results are all he knows.
Look out TCU and Baylor, you will be seeing a lot of SMU at the high schools.

Wow - truly impressive.
It all starts with "culture change."
On recruiting:
Here in Dallas, TX, you can get all you need "within a quarter of a tank of gas's drive."
"We're not going to play second fiddle to anyone."
Says he's "right back in my wheelhouse of recruiting" as a Texas high school football coach, thinks it's a "goldmine."
Safe to say, I think we've found the right guy for the job. Hard to imagine a better hire - with all sincerity, congratulations to Hart and everyone involved. This is a home run.

Could not be better than "WACKER DON'T CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!"
Wacker scared little children across Texas with his unmodulated voice-but it was Classic

Crong it was horrible....
but good grief Coach Morris....already has me sold!
Wow!
This guy was a lot more polished and well spoken than I thought.
Plus he absolutely loves Dallas and Texas....he wants to be here!
What a change!
I liked when he said "...I'm going to challenge the faculty..."

CM certainly looks better in red and blue than orange and black. So excited he's here! I can't wait to find out what the change in atmosphere will be. One of the first changes must be visiting recruits tomorrow!

Two take aways:
1) When Hart was talking that all of the characteristics of the new head coach he was looking for, they were 180 degrees away from JJ.
2) Morris already has potential staff members in the air on the way to Dallas. He also has a couple arriving tomorrow. I was just struck that this guy is walking in the door with a plan to get the job done.
