Where are you hearing that? It seems like Kennedy just needed to raise his credit toward major gpa and was not very far off from the requirement.

Look at it this way. If he makes it, he will have put forth a monumental effort and the professors will have cut him some slack. That would be a good thing. Let's stay positive until we know otherwise. Always time for tears.

I think he's playing because our school newspaper reported it. Say what you want about the DC but I'm pretty sure they don't make things up.
BTW, if I saw a tweet from a credible source claiming otherwise, I'd be worried.
