I would call that average not a stud. Still better than the bricks he throws this year

I don't remember ever reading or being told that Emelogu shoots the ball well from the outside.

Ben E attempted 5 3's a game last year and shot 37%, he was definitely advertised as a 3 pt stud.

By whom?

I think that if he got the same minutes as he did at VT he would probably have similar stats.

Emelogu is just off-missing badly

Martin was actually making 50% of his 3s until he took a bunch on the first nite after his injury. He's hitting 45% from the field and 33% from the 3 point line. Not great but not awful either I think he will contribute

I have a feeling BenE's head is swimming - thrown into the "LB fire" - might take him a year in the system to get his confidence going we'll see.

We're definitely going to need JMart. He looks really slow, but I also know he's had leg injuries. Hopefully he'll help us on the nights we need him most if others aren't firing (I get concerned about the road games in the "we should beat" category . . . Temple, Tulane, UCF, etc). THOSE are the games that will tell us what kind of team we are and if we have a shot at the tourney. It's those cold, wintry Jan/Feb conference away games that end up hurting you if you don't get up for them (see Temple last year). (and USF and Houston).

Smart looks smooth and calm. He hit a bad patch after the injury, but just like Cunningham, he will find role.

The good thing is we have a lot of pieces to work with and if one is going bad, LB can shift minutes around with the role guys and not lose much.

Both JMart and BenE will come around eventually, IMO.
