Virginia is blessed with lots of interesting campuses. UVa, W&L, U of R, Hampton Sydney, Sweetbriar, all have touches of old Virginia and for 17th and 18th century architecture, you get William & Mary. Because many of these schools were built when colleges were meant to be something special, they all have a touch of beauty. Even some of the prep schools in Virginia, like Fork Union, Woodberry Forest, Episcopal, and Chirstchurch all have a charm about them.

Ugliest is a tie b/w A&M and TCU. Those are truly dreadful looking college campuses.
A&M is great if your idea of beautiful architecture is post modern prison.
