Re: Other AAC games
Shaking my head wondering what its going to take to get you to realize this Tulsa team is very good. 2 bad early games with a new Coach means nothing. There's no way we lose in Tulsa? No way? Almost every road game is a battle for the visiting team in this conference. We don't want to get 2 games behind these guys. They won 11 straight last year when 80% of team were Sophomores and they gonna win their 10th straight this year. I think they'll be in this thing all the way down to the final game in Moody. I think we have the better team but they got a distinct advantage not have to play in Cincy. I've watched most of their conference games and they are the most consistent, fundamental team in the conference

Re: Other AAC games
I did not understand why people wanted Tulsa to win their last couple of games. I don't think they are as good as us or Cinci but they have the easiest schedule of the top teams. Their next two are USF and Houston.

I think they are very good, but I think we are better.
We will find out soon enough.

That plus they are a weird matchup for us. Whomever plays the 4 is going to have to guard a guy on the perimeter, and if he gets beat off the dribble the backside three is going to be wide open. Houston hit that shot for a while in the first half. Tulane missed it all game. Tulsa at home may hit it.

I am pulling for them because I want as manny teams in the NCAA tournament as possible. It is better for the league to have as many RPI top 50 teams as possible. Still, I want us to sweep them so that we can hang a banner. If Tulsa keeps winning they will eventually work their way up to an at large bid. SMU, Cincinnati, Tulsa, possibly Temple and UCONN as AAC tournament champs into the NCAA tournament would be pretty sweet and help recruiting for all AAC programs. I really think when all is said and done this league will have 4 maybe 5 teams in the tournament and 1 or 2 in the NIT. Hopefully Memphis can rebound next season and Sampson can get Houston back into form soon. This will be a fun league very soon.

The AAC is not going to have 5 teams in this year. Honestly the way things are looking I think the ACC will be lucky to get 3. It will likely be us, which ever team steps up and establishes themselves as the second best team (could be cinci could be temple could be Tulsa) and than the AAC tournament winner if not one of the top two.

Re: Other AAC games
I am not cheering for Tulsa and haven't been all year.
They are ahead of us in the standings and could have a two game lead on us after our game with them on Feb. 7. I want to win a conference title and Tulsa is currently in the way.

Tulsa will get theirs eventually. They have an incredibly weak schedule and we will soon find out what they are all about. Patience.

Re: Other AAC games
Personally I'm cheering for all of the top teams in the American to continue winning; obviously unless they're playing SMU. The national regard for our conference this season is pretty low (and deservedly so), so we can't really afford to "eat our own". The teams at the top really need to take care of business against the little guys.
I think SMU will be favored in just about every remaining game, especially now that the @Cincinnati game has passed. I'm not saying we have to win them all, but I'll definitely be disappointed by any losses. I also think we'll be the favorite to win the conference tournament, even if we end up in second or third for the regular season.

Rice and UH staying close, please win Houston, don't lose to a CUSA leftover

I was shocked to see that score in the ticker. I thought UH might have been demoted back to C-USA or something.

Tulsa has a nice win at Temple and had nice wins over UConn and Memphis at home.
SMU will be a pickem against Tulsa, And we will not be favored at UConn, and possibly Memphis if we lose those other games.
Looking at the schedules and assuming losses away against good teams:
Tulsa has 3 losses left.
SMU has 3 losses left.
Cincy has 3 losses left.
Tulsa has the best chance to win the league.
I would not be surprised to see Cincy win at Tulsa and all three teams finish in a 3 way tie for first.
