There have been several June HIGH SCHOOL qbs recruited and graduated or will be graduating from SMU. It is just most played other positions at SMU or are less well-known.

I get your point - Cole Beasley was a hsqb - but the point is that the former head coach did not bring in any qb's, to play qb, that lasted and graduated from SMU. He never seemed to get his SMU equivalent of Colt.

Maybe that psychology evaluator or whatever the tag was who JJ wanted for the SMU faculty never approved one.

He thought they were all going to flock here to bask in his genius but he didn't realize that talented recruits don't send their tape and wait for some coach to get back to them.

If a QB ever wanted a shot to play in a regular season NFL game, it's easy to see why June could never recruit a talented QB.

I would say Bo Levi Mitchell & Kyle Padron were pretty talented QB's. One just won the Grey Cup & the other was signed by an NFL team after the draft.

WR's - pretty big disappointment, but having 2 in the NFL is pretty good for not being a P5.

Padron was cut after mini camp by the QB starved Raiders. By all accounts he looked terrible.

For the record, I always like Kyle and didn't think June gave him a fair shake in 2011.

3. AR was picked up by Baltimore.

I may be wrong, but none of these were June's recruits.

Bo
Padron
Bease
AR
ES

(maybe the closest was he honored Bease's prior commitment to the stache when he got hired - my recollection anyway).
