You're absolutely insane if you can't see that.
JJ reaped the rewards of this stellar last 4 years of Bennett's "all in...or out" recruiting:
SMU TCU
2002 #69 #80
2003 #62 #69
2004 #144 #89
2005 #82 #54
2006 #110 #60
2007 #99 #81
As far as foundations go, I don't like houses with a basement.
BTW, JJ's worn out from coaching, and probably won't be doing that any time soon.

June Jones can't get a job-both he and his agent have been begging to even get telephone interviews.

What exactly are you trying to prove/state here?
And JJ's been "worn out" since 2011 and the ASU Fiasco:

2012 #90 #37
2013 #71 #30
2014 #99 #50

Listening to Morris when he is talking about recruiting reminds me of Meyer. Meyer could recruit. He just had it. And it appears to me Morris ,too, can recruit. Not the same as Meyer but still a recruiter.
Meyer didn't have the gorgeous campus the Morris has now. Meyer didn't have the strong academics Morris has now. Meyer certainly didn't have first class facilities like Morris has now. Meyer did have a crummy football record his first year just like Morris. And both used vision to sell kids on SMU that first few years. So they both had to be able to sell their vision and both seem able to do that.

It all boils down to we won't be able to recruit in football with the big dogs until we establish a
winning tradition. All I've said is that HCCM needs to show X's O's / coaching talent along with
the energy he showed in recruiting to be successful

#81 ranked recruiting classes won't cut
it

Like Bennett the shine will wear off in 2 or 3 years, and we'll get #144, #110, and #99 all
over again.
JJ had it started with the bowl seasons, and a #50 recruiting ranking in 2011. Then it collapsed
with the ASU fiasco

I have been following SMU football for now close to 50 years.
I agree with your assertions, they are dead on, although 'maybe' Rossley would have been a better recruiter had both his arms not been tied behind his back. He certainly isn't in Morris' league though.
This is the most optimistic I've been since my own college days at SMU.

Meyer had Mustang Mania, Morris needs his own version.

Meyer also had a bit of payroll to help. But so did a few other teams.

Its a small point, but I'd take exception to something ponyte said and jimhagle quoted about Meyer not having a nice campus. I remember readinge that Meyer said something like "...being in Dallas and with a beautiful campus..." SMU was the jewel of the SWC. I don't recall now if that was printed in a Dallas paper or DCTF. Certainly he was not referring to the football facilities on campus then, but aside from that I agreed. I liked the campus before Meyer came, when I was a student, and I liked it in Pony Express days and I like it now.
