Any positive news about college kids in neighborhoods?

The input of johnny-law would have made things much more difficult for the students involved, as taking a whiz on other's property can be viewed as indecent exposure...not what you want on your resume or your record.

Bad behavior? No doubt.
An IFC issue? Maybe, since it involved folks (allegedly) from Sigma Chi.
Needed to be addressed? There is the rub. Grown ups talk TO each other not AT each other to solve stuff. Might be lacking in the grown ups department on one or both sides of the neighbors...not enough info given on that one.

If the neighbor had exhausted every other recourse, he kindly gave this to the media to bring this bad behavior to public scrutiny...and give a black eye for Sigma Chi and SMU. Hopefully a lesson learned, but somehow I doubt this story is through.

These kids are idiots and need their [deleted] kicked

We used to throw big parties all the time off campus -- if you have a shred of commons sense and respect for others it's not hard to not [deleted] off your neighbors. We'd talk to the people who lived around us and told them to come to us before calling the cops if things got too loud or unruly, and gave them our phone numbers. I think we got one call at 2AM from a neighbor (completely warranted) telling us to pipe down. One old guy who lived across the street even came by for drinks and creeped out the girls. It was probably smupony94.

It's remarkable how cool old people can be when you show them a little respect.
