This cannot stand without being fact-checked. I'll leave it to Stallion because it'll have to be adjusted totals for apples to apples comparison. Is this remotely accurate?
Go fact check me on Rivals . For Bennett's last three years or 3 of 4 we are in the 100s in recruiting rankings, while under June we were above 100 every year, sometimes well above 100. Of course for both of them you probably have to go beyond that and try and figure out who actually got into school and played .
Nobody is arguing that June put a lot of effort into recruiting. But he did pull in better recruits than Bennett did for the average player. Even after the Bennett recruits were out of here, June's W-L record was still better, and against better competition in a better conference. Again, not saying it was anywhere near where we wanted it to be.
Got these recruiting rankings off of Rivals last February.

This isn't here say or just an attitude this was reality
again the 2004 Rivals rating of 145 was a computer glitch-he keeps posting it even when Iprove that it was
second you can't compare TCU's recruiting ranking in Total Points to most other schools because in many of those years TCU signed only about 18 recruits when other schools were signing 25+. Some of those small classes were TCU's best classes, You've got to also compare Average per Recruit.
the fact is TCU has donkey punched SMU in recruiting every year for the last 27 years with the possible exception of one year. Recruiting numbers sometimes lie especially when you are comparing big classes to small classes.
Further all Rivals classes between 2008 -2012 can't be compared to other classes in other years because of rampant grade inflation

"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

He also had a 4 star juco saftey that never made it to SMU. But either way, if you look on the field Bennett's players on the O line and at receiver were the foundation of the team. When they were gone JJ was pretty much gone as well. GG extended June's stay for a year or 2.
