There may be a gray area between those...you could put Nebraska in that group as well. Forgot Notre Dame in the elites.
There is grey area, and all programs have up and down years. The point is, if you are P5 you have a seat at the table, and if you are G5 you don't. TCU keeps winning and you will not think of them as second tier in a few years, just like Virginia Tech.
Well gee, why don't we just have Alabama and UT play for the championship every year instead of playing any football. A lot of other schools could save a bunch of money that way
