I noticed the erectness immediately. That pic should've won the Pulitzer.

I just ran across this article from the DC on The MOB. So in 2013 there were 150 MOB members and 725 total student tickets handed out per game. I wonder if that is still in place. It'd be nice to see a few students step up and lead the MOB. Keep the tradition going...

The Mob is a great name. No need to change it.

But I'm cool with 'Weird Als' Jankovich.

Love you, Smusic. But something back to the Mustang Maniacs works better, no?

Can't change the name of the student area for every coach. Also, I know you (Smusic) were there in the late 90's and 2000's and there were no sign up fees or any other ridiculous [deleted] obstacles to getting into the student section. People showed up and cheered their butts off. Wasn't a bunch of the low grade sorority chicks and the tri lams like we have today.

We built a palace and then we castrated our student body. Typical SMU.

Pretty sure they don't pay tens of thousands of dollars to "fund" cheerleaders. They may get uniforms and travel to away football games and tournaments (on planes that are already carrying the teams), but that's hardly "funding" them. I know that the reason that the pom squad has kept doing the much-maligned mini-Mustangs is that it's basically their fund raiser -- the parents pay a ridiculous amount to participate. I should know.

It's been my experience that athletes from the other sports are the biggest supporters of the other teams on Campus. As elitist as this may sound I'm convinced that if other sports teams got expedited Mob credentials....problem solved.

Go ahead....flame away.

Everyone on this board must be forgetting the student athlete day towards the end of this past season when most of the SA's in attendance looked like they were being held hostage during the first half and immediately fled Moody after being honored at halftime.

Sasser years. 98-2000ish. Since you're Father Time, I would assume you would remember. They used those pics of the Mustang Maniac student section for quite a number of years after the fact. Granted, they looked great...hundreds of students in red enthusiastically cheering on our team. Not random ADPi level chicks and the Tri Lams looking bored.

Late 90s basketball had great student crowds. Clown is right. It was rowdy and raucous. Fresno St game 99-00 comes to mind, that was wild. The TCU pajama game I had to sit in the top row of the corner there were so many students.

I still like The Mob name. Pays homage to LB and sounds intimidating and 'big city.'

Does anyone know if LB took the heads of Liberty and Justice with him when he cleaned out his office?
