Player in seat 3: mustangs? Who are they?

Me: SMU in Dallas

Player in seat 9: yeah! They have a good basketball team!

Player in seat 2: isn't Dale, I mean Larry Brown, the coach? and y'all have a good point guard too.

Should have bet #2 that Larry Brown would not be the coach by the start of the season.

Part of real conversation I had with a Father / Son, both from Oklahoma, both wearing OU gear. Dad was an alum, son a student. I was wearing an SMU shirt.

Conversation occurred on Jan 1st in Pasadena when OU played Wash St in the Rose Bowl, after I told son I attended SMU.

Son - "So where is SMU located?"

Me, looking at his Dad, not saying a word, but asking....'is your son really that dumb'

Dad, looking at me, not saying a word, but acknowledging, 'Yes, Yes, he is'.

Should have told em we have a solid volleyball team and are a pokemon/volleyball school.

Just went through the process to upgrade my seats and ended up not doing it as there aren't any good seats available

I guess that's not good news for you but it is good to know the demand is still there.
