The issue, however, is the disrespect. SMU should have been a 4 seed. A 6 seed is a joke. But at least its a good location and path.
I'm thrilled about this, and I think the committee actively did us a favor. If we're a 4 or a 5, we're in Buffalo or Milwaukee. The way this team thrives with a home crowd, the 6 is doing us a HUGE favor. I don't think there was any disrespect intended, or shown. Less than 10% of the fans that WILL go to Tulsa would go to Milwaukee or Buffalo.
Stallion doesn't think I'm a stinkin' genius anymore.
The 5th seed in our bracket, UVA, plays UNC Wilmington in the 1st round in Orlando (advantage UVA), but the 2nd round opponent is Florida, once again in Orlando.

As Jank said: "They are all just silly numbers."
I like this setup..... closest possible venue to Dallas is a reward for being Conference champ. We get a team coming off a play-in game at another location meaning it is the second game of a road trip for them.
Win that and we get an epic game where everyone not from Baylor will be pulling for us in a joint packed with Kansas fans and our fans.
Are you kidding me? Easy drive north, potential USC rematch, best of Texas between SWC rival Baylor and Semi matchup with his old team... I love the story line!
Still doesn't make the seed swallow but man this will make for some media chatter.
