Re: Transfer market
USF adds a very underwhelming grad transfer....
@JonRothstein
Penn State grad transfer Terrence Samuel tells me that he has committed to South Florida. Immediately eligible for next season.

Re: Transfer market
It is VERY quiet. The optimist in me says its because many of the guys we are potentially interested in are keeping quiet so far, but also maybe because we know who we want, but just hasn't happened yet. Hadn't seen that we had reached out to Kanter.
Regarding UH's additions Harris will be a project for them he isn't ready to compete at the D1 level yet. The Gran-transfer was a nice get, considering how weak the grad-transfer big man market is. He isn't anyone that will be a star though. Will be solid, likely be able to give them 20-25 minutes a game and 6PPG and 6RPG.

Re: Transfer market
We are just waiting for UNC to get the death penalty. We will then steal a big man from there. We will tell him that Dallas is a Caribbean beach resort, and since he can't read he won't be able to google the truth.

I wouldn't go as far to say that, but you could do worse haha. I would hope we got someone better or someone from a higher level, but he is definitely a serviceable grad-transfer who can give you some solid minutes. Don't think We would want him playing that many minutes for us & will be interesting to see how he translates to the uptick in competition and playing against bigger guys.

Garrison Brooks is leaving Mississippi State. Overwhelming favorite to go to UNC but it seems we have an outside shot.

Not to get everyone too excited but do you notice a trend in the predictions over the past two weeks??

Only time I value Crystal Ball predictions is when there is momentum. Hopefully it continues

Re: Transfer market
So this is a total educated guess but I think Brooks is waiting on UNC who I believe has one scholarship available and he is their second choice for that last scholarship. If UNC's first choice commits, I believe we get Brooks.

Good to know. Any idea who UNC's first choice is?
EDIT:
Hearing it's Kevin Knox who looks like he is going to Duke:

Looks like UNC is picking up steam in the predictions
Re: Transfer market
I know we don't need him anymore at this point, but have we discussed that Charlie Moore is transferring from Cal? I absolutely loved his HS tape and if I'm not mistaken he was balling at Cal this year. As expected, it looks like we aren't on his radar at the moment, but I still wish we snagged him last year when he was switching his commitment.
