Everything points toward a Memphis win. Home field, better record, great QB, best return guy in the Country, and weather! SMU lost to a really great UCF team and Navy by a total of 10 points! We all saw where a catch here or a D stop there could have changed the outcome of both games. Some way, some how SMU has to find a way. Time for a full 4 qtrs of SMU football and this culture thing to show up!! Predict C.S. catches the game winning TD over one of their Hot shot Freshman as time expires to win!! SMU 45 Memphis 42!!

I remember when I use to be optimistic.......those were the days! I'm a lot less disappointed now though.

I understand, I just wanted something positive. Maybe a little humor! Im always optimistic till I watch a couple SMU D series!

The weather should take the Crowd out of it! Ben has already thrown 40 passes with gloves on, so he should be good to go! And I thought I read where CM had a Fire Truck at Practice spraying water once. All bases covered. Also it will be raining on both sides of the field! Comes down to who wants it most! No excuses, play 4 qtrs of great effort SMU Football and get the W!

Memphis is good, but this is not Alabama we're playing folks. They start a lot of young players on defense and have given up a bunch of points this season. I'm sure after wetting the bed in the 1st half against Navy, the coaches have been calling for a show of pride and proof of manhood. With our stockpile of skill players and a qb that is starting his 22nd game; I will be disappointed, if we don't score at least 31 points. That being said, our defense still sux. Don't think for a second, that Memphis coaches wouldn't love to see David Moore get in the game....and stick it up our [deleted].

With the worst weather moving in at the games beginning and continuing throughout, this game becomes a question mark. Two years ago it was similar and our guys laid down and quit. Hopefully not this year.

I will be there with Mrs. RK and two others...we have acquired "special access" which will keep us out of the weather.

There is absolutely zero reason to believe that a Van Malone defense can slow down a high powered Memphis team coming off a bye at home. Our only hope is that the weather creates the opportunity for a few turnovers. If we play a first half like we did at Navy last week Memphis is going to bury us by the end of the first quarter.

Warning, optimist filter is on.

Losing to TCU by 20 in FW was the closest to a blow out this year. If we lose to Memphis it will be by less than 20.

In rain, we can run out our DL depth and slug it out. Rugby style punting will work fine. Not having a great field goal game will hurt us.

This is going to be a battle. On the offensive side, we will run the ball and throw possession passes.
