Re: We are an NIT team
Not entirely ready to throw in the towel. WE have nine games left. We go 6-3 and then win at least one , hopefully two tourney game I think we have a shot to get in. WE have some quality wins and we are not the unknown we once were.

People love the individual story - anyone heard of anyone else on the OU squad this season other than Trae Young? If Shake starts to grab headlines with significant contributions to an SMU win streak - they will also tie to the last second shot he missed last year to take us to the second round - everyone loves the revenge story.
You want to be a script writer for SMU sports?
LOL....kinda like being the booking rep for the Titanic.
So you're saying hold off on the Hicks Heisman piece?

Re: We are an NIT team
Let's just hope these guys can find 4 more wins the rest of the way and get to 9-9 in AAC play. Will need Shake back to do that but even with a 19-12 regular season and a 1st round loss in the AAC Tourney (certainly a possibility) I think a 19-13 SMU team is NIT bound but probably road warriors. We might get a high enough seed to get a 1st round game at Moody because ESPN loves Moody Magic.

We are definitely an NIT team and will get a home game or two, unless Shake is gone the rest of the season. I don't think that's going to happen tho.

Same. Didn't they say bruised hand on the broadcast? I guess that could be the same language as Jarrey with "a knee sprain".

PLEASE don't let that be the case, but he does have a professional career to consider

One bruised hand and a dislocated finger on the other hand? Not good

And he has to consider that strongly and not risk anything. Frankly it's not worth it. Selfishly I pray he comes back as I want the chance to cheer for him in Moody a few more times. Such a tremendous, unselfish player that will be so greatly missed.

Right haha. We probably need to win at least 3 games to make NIT. Should get 1 with USF, but need to get two more from the remaining regular season/conf tourney to have a good shot of getting in the NIT. That will be tough without Shake.
