During the delay I would send Hicks to the airport. He obviously doesn't want to play.

You know, I watch a lot of college football. The thing that has stood out to me for good teams vs us is just how hard they play. Obviously, they usually seem bigger but outside of a handful of players, SMU has always seemed to play soft and not brutally / fanatically effortful. I think Dykes is changing that, but it's hard to watch. Every game. Every year.

I usually donΓÇÖt like to criticize the a player or players like i have but from what I have seen from Hicks in just a few plays is absolutely inexcusable.
If he has lost the desire to play or does not like being at SMU then he needs to move on, immediately

Hopefully Brown will improve a reading the defense for next year. Right now he canΓÇÖt make any of those plays and we need Hicks to step it up....but his attitude is killing me.

I think heΓÇÖs gone next year to a lower tier FBS team in the MAC or C-USA

This is a great point and I have always been frustrated by the same thing. Hopefully that will change.

Prior to the Navy game, heard a family member of his say heΓÇÖs graduating in December.

Not sure he could earn a starting job at any FBS school. Might go the FCS route where he can once again be "the man". I just hope Sonny benches him when play resumes. If he's still in, I'm guessing it's because Brown is hurt.

I have watched a lot of bad SMU football in my life but I have never seen a player just simply not care like Hicks today.

Need to take him out for the good of team morale even if it means playing Upshaw. Hicks could turn into a cancer
for the team if his behavior is not met head on right now.

He's had a history of sulking...Chad had to get on him constantly. Doesn't help having a competitor like Andre Ware as one of the commentators for this game...to pick up on Hicks' lack of effort

coming late to the party...Hicks (I take from the thread) is not the answer today. Is he pouting/crying/throwing a fit?
