Utah State could still beat Boise and if the Broncos make it to the MWC Championship, SDSU will be another tough game. This SMU team just needs to take care of it's own business

No pressure but that should be some incentive. SD pre-game speech "If we lose this one we play in the Frisco Bowl". If that won't keep the team fired up I don't know what will.

early AP estimates have us at 15. It will be interesting to see the final ranking for this week.

The Rundown: Michigan could an even higher riser than this based on the significance of the beating put upon Notre Dame. The debate between where Michigan and Auburn fit comes down to strength of opponents. Auburn gets the edge, only slightly, with an 11-point and a 3-point loss to a par of top-10 teams. And then the question comes down to whether more voters value the schedules of Michigan and Auburn or the wins themselves by three undefeated teams. What keeps teams like SMU, Baylor and Minnesota away from the top 10? Strength of schedule. The three of them combined have just one win against a ranked team (SMU at No. 25 TCU). Auburn’s loss drops the Tigers out of the playoff hunt, but it was an impressive showing at LSU.

Technically, two top 25 wins for SMU. Temple was #25 in AP poll. The down turn in NTSU and ASU has hurt. TCU winning has to help a bit.

Temple was 25 in coaches poll. Temple and TCU are our best wins. Everything else has been average. Memphis will be a huge game because they should be in 20-25 section.

Confirmed 14 in coaches poll and I assume 13 or 14 in AP poll.

We won’t. And I think we should be above Boise.

How do we fall behind a Boise state team with no good wins and a really bad loss against BYU who was 2-4 at the time.

They have to have misread the score. Dropping Memphis 2 spots and raising us one after Memphis beats us. Even a homer like me can say that just does not play.
