Davis is struggling — forces two shots to make him 0 for 10 in first half — but when Marcus Weathers sinks follow-up and gets fouled, Davis was as animated as anyone.
38-27

Which is the bigger deal?
SMU has zero points from the AAC's Player of the Year and leads by 11
or
Tulsa has held AAC's Player of the Year scoreless and still trails by 11
????
That has to be seriously deflating for Golden Hurricane

Nice to see the rest of the team pick up the slack to carry KD through his struggles this half.

KD not feeling it but despite going 0-10 did not really force a lot of shots. Guys shared the ball well and played tough D in that 1st half. Good start but need a strong 20 minutes to finish this one

Bandoumel has been incredible tonight.
You have to think Davis will break out of his slump at some point, and if he does and Bandoumel stays at this level, it could get lopsided.
Also: Davis has had days when he didn't score a lot in one half or the other, and in the post-game press conference, Jankovich has talked about how many other ways in which Davis competes. Tonight, he has 4 assists, 3 rebounds and a steal ... and most importantly, 0 turnovers. Every player has games in which the shots don't fall, but KD is still making sure he contributes.
