If you believe what you read, we paid him in the neighborhood of $12.2M.

I hope he plays music and enjoys many years of LESS stress. Thanks for trying.

We'll see if they get McCaslin, if not, I'd really consider Turgeon if he has any fire left after Maryland. Maryland is a tough school on coaches with UA owner meddling in everything. Turgeon also would not have a buyout.

Latest I have heard. Definitively qualifies as a rumor it would seem. I do not know anything about Joe Golding other than that nice run he had at ACU.

No to anyone associated with Sonny Dykes.

would love to get Rick Pitino but do not think he would leave Iona.

Also seems unlikely SMU would go after another high-profile, high-cost coach who has won but also has a checkered history as far as following rules ... which I guess would snuff out any suggestion of Billy Gillespie, too (if he has even been mentioned).

Hard to believe that the issue is about money. GMcC could get a 50% increase, and pay his assistants a lot more and most likely not exceed what the payout for the former staff was. Unless he is just after a big money grab. Plus I am sure our NIL capabilities far exceed those of the denton school.

If money is an issue, we should have just extended Jankovich.

I would be excited if they hired David Peavy @ Duncanville. Grant can stay in Denton & continue to succeed, & SMU can do something fresh & not go the recycled Coach route.
Can u imagine the local talent that would stay home. HeΓÇÖs not the same as Tubbs.

He can be an assistant on the staff, but hiring him as the HC would be one of the worst possible choices.

Surprised we aren't hearing more 'rumors' about candidates etc. There are a lot of good unemployed coaches plus others that might be interested.
Amazed that we have a problem with the denton coach if we really want him.

I donΓÇÖt want to be that guy, and IΓÇÖm perfectly happy to be wrong, but IΓÇÖm feeling zero excitement for McCasland or anyone else mentioned to this point. I want Moody Madness back. Like fully back. Larry Brown 2.0, not the head coach of the Richland College Thunder Ducks. If we canΓÇÖt pull that off, I want Jank back.
