Yes, I would expect another S, LB, NT, and TE.Terry Webster wrote:Aren't we hoping for a few more?BUS wrote:The 247 site has our transfer class ranked 7th.

Interesting. I assume you're better-connected than I am, but I was told S, WR and OL.JasonB wrote:Yes, I would expect another S, LB, NT, and TE.Terry Webster wrote:Aren't we hoping for a few more?BUS wrote:The 247 site has our transfer class ranked 7th.

Notice that ranking does not include P.J. Williams that Aggie portal says is another SMU commitponyboy wrote:https://247sports.com/Season/2023-Footb ... mRankings/
My guess is that P.J. Williams will go to Colorado. When it got quiet after the initial few tweets, it seemed as though he got cold feet. He would be a monster get if we could make it happen!Charleston Pony wrote:Notice that ranking does not include P.J. WR yes, lots to choose from. OL already think we are on PJ and the Stanford kid and just waiting for paperwork completion. I kind of count those as done.Vitale wrote:Interesting. If you want to throw in another NT and TE, I'm cool with that!
The only reason we need the portal to be transformative is because our defense has underperformed for years. Our secondary has certainly gotten better, and we have added a piece at LB and a couple of DL. For our defense to undergo transformative change and become an actual asset to the program, it is going to come down to if the Miami DT is an absolute stud and Woods is playing at an All-Big 12 level at corner post injury. If those two things happen, absolutely.ponyboy wrote:That’s good news. If we get those guys and don’t have any material defections, would you consider this a transformative transfer class?
Certainly appears the RB room has been upgraded and let's just hope Lavine comes back as he is as valuable as any of the new guys and head and shoulders above the guys who are leaving. Assuming playing time is important to the guys leaving the program, I can certainly understand their looking for a new home but unless you know them, it's impossible to know why anybody decides to stay or go these daysTerry Webster wrote:Siggers just entered the portal. I would be concerned about losing him but we have recruited some amazing running backs.
I think Siggers rightly wants to be the 'guy' in the backfield and it isn't going to happen with the running backs we have now.Charleston Pony wrote:Certainly appears the RB room has been upgraded and let's just hope Lavine comes back as he is as valuable as any of the new guys and head and shoulders above the guys who are leaving. We just have to hope there is good chemistry in the RB room next year because it appears we will have 3 guys who are accustomed to being "the guy"...and Lavine who has earned everyone's respectTerry Webster wrote:I think Siggers rightly wants to be the 'guy' in the backfield and it isn't going to happen with the running backs we have now.
