Lashlee figuring early that if he doesn't play aggressively and gamble that SMU has no chance of winning a slugfest with OU. Our guys have to make plays and just too many hurries and drops at this point. If OU runs another tempo series and scores 7 more here, this could get out of hand

The play calling on the offense has been absolutely disastrous.

FG doesn’t matter. That wouldn’t make a bit of difference

Not sure I agree when they we are gonna pass the coverage is too good. If we don't keep mixing it up I don't think we have the receivers to pull it off.

Interesting that we used to have a poor defense but a good offense. Now the reverse.

When it’s third and 9, the goal should be to try to pick up a first down with two downs, or make the field goal a bit more achievable. Instead, we get nothing.

We have three points, and it’s not because OU has a dominant defense. They do not.

I don’t understand why we didn’t throw it to the end zone before halftime. We need points and shouldn’t have just worked to try a FG.

Given the competitionΓǪ. Defense = A-ΓǪOffense = C-ΓǪSpecial Teams= D. I really liked Lashlee’s decision to pooch punt vs go for itΓǪ.that is maturity as a head coach from year 1 to year 2. That saidΓǪI had zero confidence Rogers would make that FG and that was a better opportunity to go for the first down. Definitely a different type of game than I expected but overall I like what I’m seeing for the rest of the season.

Now comes the coaching test...who makes the better adjustments in the 2nd half? We get the ball and really need points off an opening drive to make a statement

Wonder whether Cam Wheaton gets any carries in the 2nd half?
