If we can't win out and make a NY6 game, I really like the idea of a matchup with an ACC team

as long as it is not in frisco.

Frisco or even the First Responder Bowl in Ford are possibilities but more likely we'd be playing in Boston, Annapolis, Birmingham or Tampa if matched up against an ACC opponent. My preference would be at one of the warmer locales. Right now it doesn't appear the AAC will have more than 4-5 bowl eligible teams whereas the ACC might have as many as 10-11 teams

How on earth is Fresno State still ahead of us in the AP poll?

We both have 2 losses but they have 2 wins against P5 programs even if they were Purdue and Arizona State and they have also won some conference games against teams with winning records. We need to win out to earn (and to deserve) more respect

Fresno just lost 42-18 to 5-5 San Jose. No way they should be getting more votes, but that’s alright. We control our own destiny, and the votes will come if we fulfill it.

We'll need Liberty to lose. We're not catching anybody with this schedule unless we get help or someone bribes the CFP committee.

Tulane continues to rise in the rankings despite close calls vs teams we crushed. Win out and I’d be surprised if we don’t leapfrog an undefeated Liberty, they’ve played no one and I don’t think we’d be penalized for competitive losses in Norman and Ft W.

The Liberty Bowl against a P5 would not be a bad spot if we don't make the NY6 Bowl.

I would think that if we win the CC over Tulane or UTSA we would probably go to the NY6. Or am I just dreaming?

Our schedule this year is not doing us any favors: the worst teams in the AAC, plus an FCS team (PVA&M).

TCU crapping the bed makes us look bad. OU losing to OSU and KU wasn't great for us either. We need to put a beating on Memphis, Navy, and Tulane since they are all nationally televised.
