I don't understand why both of them picked Syracuse for the Gator Bowl. Would Syracuse be more attractive to the folks in Jacksonville than an 11/2-10/3 SMU team?
Holliday bowl payout is higher at 6 .3 million

Half of Florida is from New York, if that matters.
True, but how many of them care about Syracuse football? If it's more than a minuscule percentage, I'd be surprised.

That's surprising considering that bowl's ranking in the bowl lineups.

So far 65 teams are eligible and this year it looks few maybe left off
