If this SMU team can't beat any of the Top 6 seeds in the ACC Tourney they don't belong in the NCAA Tourney. That's the way the regular season has played out and we will do well to win out in the regular season. Without Boopie, I'm not sure we get past Stanford today. They were without one of their leaders when they came to Dallas and I expect them to be really fired up to avenge the drubbing they took in Moody

Totally agree. They look like a team that consistently beats teams below them, but can't beat teams equal to or above them. That will get you a good record in this year's version of the ACC, but it won't get you into the tournament.

The loss to Stanford effectively drops us to the # 6 seed in the ACC Tourney but there is still a chance (if we can beat Syracuse and win @ Florida State) that Duke beats both Wake and UNC this week and we get that 4th seed and double bye. With the minutes our guys are having to play in Boopie's absence this team is not well situated to play games on consecutive days.

After the home loss to Wake the writing was on the wall for me. I am celebrating a better than expected 1st season in the ACC which is a great stepping stone to a bright future. Maybe they will shock us in Greensboro, but it shouldnΓÇÖt be expected. We have a good team, but a team thatΓÇÖs still lacking even with Boopie. IΓÇÖm going to enjoy the rest of the season stress free hoping for the best but not expecting.

Thanks for the correction. I knew the headquarters moved to Charolotte, but for some reason I thought the tournament was in Greensboro. Charlotte makes more sense for sure.

It bounces back and forth between the two cities for the next several years. It's definitely worth going to one in Greensboro when it's there.

Personally, I favor the sixth seed. I think if we have Miller, we can beat Clemson and perhaps have an outside shot at Louisville. If we're the 4th seed, we get Wake or UNC, and then have to face Duke. Duke is clearly a loaded team right now.

SMU has to lose to F$U to get to the 6 seed and thatΓÇÖs worse than possibly facing Duke in the semis versus possibly facing Duke in the final. Ponies need to beat F$U and root like hell for Ga Tech over Wake and Duke over uNC, and Stanford dropping at least one of their final two games. That outcome puts SMU as the 4 with a double bye and a very likely Q1 rematch with uNC in the quarters.

As long as we beat FSU we are either 4th or 5th depending on UNC and Duke. Wake is one game behind us. There's a lot of fluidity at the bottom seeds. You could have 4 teams at 7-13. Also Pitt has two cupcakes and VT has Clemson. So, VT could fall behind Pitt. If we get UNC at 5th, then that would mean a quality win that might get us over the bubble (if we can beat them).
