It seems that most schools will give some preferential treatment to their athletes so that they can have success on the playing field. I still don't understand why it would be so terrible to run our football program like TCU does. Wouldn't SMU fans rather have a program that is getting positive national exposure due to its success instead of the negative exposure that comes with having one of the worst programs in the country? How much more of the poor performance by the team can the few fans that still exist stand? Clearly our administration is not doing something right vs what the TCU administration is doing. Are the academics of the whole school being sacrificed so that they can be a top 25 football program?

Kids like to go to schools where they are thought of as Winners.
Period

I know a kid that just graduated from ESD ( Good Academics ) He was going to college to study business.

I used to coach this kid and when I asked him why he chose TCU of SMU for a B-school degree he said.... They are winners.

The faculty needs to hear these type of stories. It really happens.
