Aye,
Defense was terrible last year as well, but at least we scored a lot of points, we have yet to click with the run and shoot yet.
We've had a couple decent offensive games, we're just not consistent.

But for several offensive series in several games it can be argued that not one thing in his system has worked at any point. One gets the feeling that nothing has clicked all year. Offense plagued by dropped passes, bad routes, interceptions and no ground attack. Only positive is that O line has done a reasonable job. Defense has only 2 positives in Yenga and lately Thompson. No one else can tackle and most do not have the requisite speed to play at this level. Back to the drawing board. Over and Out.

Moreso than last season, though.
So true, our record is the same, but we had a bunch of close losses last year, we haven't been as competitive this year.
Plus everyone had so much enthusiam at the beginning of the year, then we got Willis benched and started losing and it has all been down hill since then.
It is just a sad fact..SMU is probably the worst team in the country in our division...on both offense and defense. Having been there in the Salad Days, this is particularly hard to swallow. How on earth did a major university with such a wonderful football tradition sink to this state? We used to look down on Rice and TCU. Now we can't field a team remotely comparable to either. How much longer Oh Lord! How much longer!

You can add Chris Banjo to your list of players on defense. He's been a bright spot the last few games.
