It didn't take long to wipe Goff's off the face of the earth. Looks weird with it gone. Anybody been to the new spot?

Food taste the same. New place is certainly much cleaner, TV's are tuned to something besides CNN headline news, plenty of ketchup, and the a-hole isn't at the front counter.

AWESOME SITE! I went to P.O.'s once while living in Houston. It's worth the drive out to Cypress (northwest of Houston, take Hwy. 290 like you're going to Austin). Make the drive, if you have time, the next time the Mustangs play Rice or UH in the Bayou City!

I have no way of knowing if it's true, but there's a link on that site -- WITH PICTURES -- of some woman (who claims to be 100 pounds) eating the entire thing. It's either really impressive or terrifying.

I'd love to hear the PF.com burger crew would have to say about that thing. I say any of our guys who could eat the thing should get a scholarship to go back to SMU as our starting noseguard. Or at least a tackling dummy (note to players: if you hit this tackling dummy, wear a smock.)

There's a new sportsbar being advertised on the radio called Big Rick's Sports Lounge (or something like that) on lower Greenville. Has anyone been there? What's the burger like? Worth the trip?

OK, Burger Boys, let's have our review.
We'll let you be the guinea pigs. If it's any good, I'll go.

for mrmustang1965. is P. O. s the name or an abbreviation? what exit? i'm in nw houston on business a lot and would like to try it if i can get the whole name.

also, if you guys are going to talk burgers, how about going the extra mile and tell us who has good fries for the total dining experience. i know you have had the experience of a good burger ruined by crappy fries. and lets lynch whoever came up with the cute idea of overdousing em with the garlic salt and/or pepper to make those fries gourmet specials.

afterthought fries sink too many good burger meals.

P.O.'s is the name. It's located in the Cy-Fair area of Houston. I can't remember the exact exit to take since I went 'the back way' with some friends who live out there.

Check out this web site for more information about P.O.'s: http://www.texasburgerguy.com./

Needless to say, I'm in. And I'm fairly certain that the others can be coerced into going quite easily. There's are damn few burgers I'll turn down as a matter of principle. But we've got at least three places to hit, and haven't had an outing recently. Come to think of it, I haven't had a good burger in quite a while. Maybe that's why I've been even crankier than usual -- either that or a glaring lack of coffee.

Are neophytes permitted to attend these 'Burger War' gatherings? I'd like to volunteer my services...as a faithful Mustang, as well as a hungry man!
