They only have one bad loss, at Tulsa (#107 RPI). And they have a really nice win over South Carolina (#20 RPI).

Yeah - and a road conference win against a decent team isn't that bad. Really makes Pastner look even more worthless too which is nice.

Memphis still pretty far back at about 80 in Live RPI for example. I would think they would need some big upsets of BOTH SMU and Cincy both on the Road to have much of a chance. I think they actually dropped a little after USF victory on the Road

Pastner sure is knocking off top 25 teams at GT though

Yeah, exactly.

While they may be the third best team in the conference (right now I have zero idea who actually is) they will need some serious resume builders to even get consideration. Their depth is similar to ours and their talent isn't quite up to ours so I'd say that they have little chance of winning the AAC tourney with a three night/ three game run. So that means they will need to probably beat both Cincy and SMU in road games. March 4 at Moody could be a fairly significant day.

It will be interesting to see if UCONN can do their typical strong finish this year. It will need to start today.

Tulsa is a HUGE game for us. They will be smarting having let Cincy get past them.

Isn't UCONN's winning the conference tournament their only shot at getting into the NCAA's?

Unless they expand the field to 256, yes.
