according to Rivals he did figure that out and then decided he just liked LOUISIANA TECH better than SMU. We are just not getting the job done. When we get outrecruited for Harrell by the likes of Tulsa and UTEP we are just not getting the job done. Its time to stop making excuses.

One winning season since football came back in 1989.....the sky has already fallen!

With stallion, there is no sky to fall, it is a hopeless situation. I think our coaches have some idea what they are doing, and until the February signing date, or at least some time closer to that date, I am not giving up the ship. Trust me folks, stallion has NO idea what is going on with our recruiting other than what he reads on Rivals, and I know this may be hard to believe, especially with ol' stallion, but Rivals isn't always correct.

Maybe Danna's not a complete idiot: check out his comment about SMU:
"I know I probably passed up a great education at SMU, but it was what I had to do for me."
Does that sound like he's doubting his decision already?
I would if I chose to go to Ruston.

This whole situation is weird, he must be driving a new car. And some of you need to get a grip and realize we are getting our asses handed to us this year in recruiting. Instead of blaming Stallion every time he posts something that doesn't mesh with your ideal world that SMU is great and if people pass on the school we must have not wanted them. It's pathetic and smacks of severe denial. I realize Stallion is an [deleted], and for that you have an argument, but don't jump down his throat when the evidence is there for anyone to see, and I'm not talking about Rivals. I'm talking about our track record, our current commitments and the cream of the crop, as well as the not so cream of the crop, passing us over. I still try to hold out hope and be a sunshiner by believing will get an all-world commitment, but it's getting harder...prove me wrong PB.

Am I wrong or did we never actually offer this guy? Seems like if we desperately wanted him we would have offered, which as far as I know, he never said we did.

Maybe he fell in love with the "date" they set him up with at LT.

One thing that sticks out about his quotes to me - I think he wanted a guarantee that he would be a starter. It sounds like LT guaranteed him a starting position, and nobody else would.

I believe you are correct, plus I think he saw some real competition from our freshman. Our coaches AND players really like Willis and Johnson.

Competition? 95% of the schools in the Country have more competition. Two lowly recruited QBs who have never played a down of college football and have marginal Division 1A skills. How about cutting the BullShit-we just got outrecruited.

stallion, you really need to take a pill. How many dogs per day do you kick to relieve your frustrations?

So what kind of pitch do you want to send this guy, Stallion? We can't change the past. Is this an issue of transferable hours or other issue remotely related to academics? If so, then your "stop making excuses" comment makes more sense.
However, if you are referring to the salesmanship/marketing of the program (or perhaps, the lack of), then I gotta ask the following question. Based on your observations, what would you like to be able to sell to a prospective recruit that you think would strongly influence this guy (or anybody else) to come to SMU?
To date, (and I may be wrong, but I don't believe so) you have never said anything about the salesmanship of the recruiters. They may be terrible, or it may indeed be that the product they are trying to sell is a dud right now. But you comment more on the latter than the former.
My question is which of these two is responsible for this guy picking LT over SMU? Or is he just frittering around looking for the BBD (bigger & better deal)?
I dunno. You read Rivals...what does it suggest?

I had also forgotten that you were such a keen evaluator of talent that you know that have marginal Division 1-A skills. I wish you would tell that to either of those kids or our coaches to their face instead of hiding behind the shield of this webpage so they could kick your [deleted] up around your ears. You have no clue. Go back to reading Rivals or take a nap. Sounds like you need one.

Why are you asking this guy anything about how to sell the program? He has nothing positive to say.
