If he will not do it, then perhaps Ronald Regan.

Bring in Tubby Raymond the old Delaware Coach. He's like 90 years old but what the heck. He gotta be tanned rested and ready. Imagine us using the wing-T.

I was at lunch yesterday where we discussed ways to bring back the slush fund but in a 21st century way where the former president actually hides the money in different books in the library.

I guess we want a MasterRecruiter instead of a MasterDebater.

Good lord people, recruiters are only 25% of the process. Schools recruit players, not coaches. If Mac Brown, who I consider the best politician, was at SMU, it would still be SMU. He would not be able to make it resemble UT!

Yeah, recruiting has nothing to do with the success of a football program. [SMUtrojanFAN prepares for the impending verbal explosion from Stallion et al]

If you write him a nice note and send him $25 he will send you his veer play book. It is still a rather impressive offense when utilized to its full potential.

if the subject here is best recruiter in texas that isn't a head coach, my vote goes to John Blake. (i posted this elsewhere too)
he's at UNC right now, but has recruited this region in his current position, and in previous jobs at Nebraska, Miss State and OU (as a coordinator and as head coach)

yeah I listed Blake too but couldn't remember where he was now. Butch Davis and John Blake together could really make Carolina competitive again.
