I assume that most of the students have bailed out for their Thanksgiving break. Keeping up that tradition they've observed from most of the alumni...not supporting their school

I think someone needs to bring in some bourbon to the boys in the booth here.

The only fans at this game are those who needed an excuse to stuff their faces and get drunk.

At least I have the excuse of being 1200 miles away. If I was living near Dallas, I'd be there. I was once a proud member of the 1500

What's the 1500?

I'm serious, I haven't heard of that in connection with something SMU related.

The 1500 is a reference to SMU's most hard core group of fans...and the fact there are so few of them. I'm talking about the kind of fan that rivals any SEC, Big XII or Big 10 fanatic...the kind that has season tickets to both football and bball and actually ATTENDS every game. This group can also be seen at many of the road games. They are at Ford today...and will likely be at Moody tonite...along with just a handful of players' friends and family, more than likely.

Oldtimers like myself, who remember Moody being PACKED for home bball games and "crowds" at the Cottom Bowl and Texas Stadium that would at least look good in Ford, remember the good old days and admire the loyalty of the 1500

What were you watching during the half?

- Though I am more interested in the Kansas game, I found myself watch the ND v. Duke game. Hey, Duke's qb's name is Thad. Got to support my brothers in name.

I am channel surfing...caught ND scoring twice very quickly against Duke (another team I follow because we lived in Durham from '87-91 - the Hurley & Laettner Final Four years). Also watching some of the Michigan State game (wife's alma mater) and of course, checking out the Memphis/UAB game out of CUSA curiosity
