Per ProudMama:

"His height is 6'2" and he currently weighs 285 lbs. which is the maximum weight for heavyweight wrestlers in California. His highest weight during football season was around 326 lbs. He very cautiously cut weight for wrestling under the careful supervision of his coaches. He feels that his optimum weight is around the 280-290 lb. range."

Currently Evan is undefeated in League with his last League match tonight against Saint John Bosco High School. Please say a prayer that Evan prevails and moves on to CIF, the Masters and then State.

Mrs. Huahulu:

Good luck to Evan in tonight's match and beyond. (As an alumnus of SJB, I would typically find it impossible to support Servite. An exception is appropriate here. ) More importantly, congratulations to Evan and to your family for making such a fine choice. Always nice to see another Californian on the roster. Welcome to SMU.

For those that are not aware, Servite is a member of the Trinity League, a private school conference that is among the elite in CIF Div. 1 football. Evan's decision was also reported on Servite's website www.servitehs.org which is also very cool.

As a former resident of North County (Fullerton), let me say welcome to SMU. Evan will love his time spent in Dallas, and you will as well.

As someone who has only stepped foot in California once, I'd like to say "WELCOME to the Hilltop" ProudMama and Evan. We're just thrilled with your decision and pray that Evan will have a very successful time here at SMU, that you all will be able to see a lot of his games and that Evan will be an important part of bringing this program back to the level where it belongs.

Awesome pictures!

I could care less if he plays defense or offense as long as he is on the field. Sounds and looks like a real athlete. Proud to have him aboard.

This was the bet:

he'll never play defense at 330. He's an inside offensive lineman all the way.

Offense or defense whatever the coaches decide. But we do need help at DT. We need someone around 290 or 300 that is agile to play DT for us. It sure would be nice to have him there. But as said in the article the coaches will decide.
