Just out of curiosity was it while Patterson was there?

it was a 2 for 1 from 1999-2001, so he was there as an asst for the first 2, and head coach for the last one.

I went up for the one at North Texas State, and the gameday product was pretty rough, I hope a new stadium makes some kind of difference.

I give you hell, but the SMU gameday experience is light years ahead of NTSU, I swear it was carny-ville like nobodies business up in Denton. Funnel Cakes were good though

The question is do we have any students with enough cojones to "borrow" another portable john, put it in front of their stadium with a message, "eat this (jumbled word) Mean Green" or to change hotel signs in Denton to read "Go SMU".

Yes, we have pieces of furniture with drawers.

I don't know about cajones but they do have odd tastes in women. Just last night an SMU student called police because he was the victim of a home invasion robbery.

The funny thing about said "home invasion" is that his story was that he walked out to his parking lot and met two attractive women. One of them introduced herself as "skittles" and the other as "leryx" (nope, not making this stuff up). He claims that he asked them if they wanted to hang out with him and "have a good time" and that within 15 minutes of meeting them he was on the verge of having sex with one of them while the other watched. To his surprise, gee who woulda thunk it, the "non-participating" female opened his front door and let in two masked men with shotguns.

Let me save you your tired rebuttal. No, he doesn't live in Denton. Yes, he lives pretty near the SMU campus.

I like UNT's nick name... the Mean Green. And they have a great jazz program. Also, the chairman of their computer science department is a good dude - I've known him since my childhood, he was a grad student of my father's (at SMU).

That's the only rebuttal I got. If you can't say anything nice....

I'm really glad this deal is signed. I know many of you Ponies think playing UNT is beneath you, but it brings in great crowds for both schools. That game at Ford last year was fantastic, and I like that SMU let's the visiting team have a whole section rather than splitting them up like they do at OU and Texas.

Let's face it, the local media doesn't give either of our schools the attention they deserve. A local rivalry should spark interest, maybe even get picked up on local television.

UNT will begin scheduling 6 home games starting next year, and with SMU on the future schedule it will be nice to see 7 games and still get home at a decent hour. And, we will have our stadium built by then. :D

We can offer visiting teams "multiple sections" these days. When Tech plays at Ford, we practically give them the whole stadium for their fans......

Why don't you go live in Fort Worth, Snob?

Wait...you weren't scheduling at least six home games every year?

One of the NTSU slogans is "NTSU....It's nice to get away."
