Maybe our current band and director have just not been exposed to it previously. If I recall we only played it when we were offense, never when the other team had possession, what would we due, call a flag on our own band? Seems like we must have something wrong in our understanding of the rule. Then again we've gotten so worried about the rules over the past twenty years, we probably just quit playing it to avoid conflict.
AZI, I haven't heard the constant refrain, soft between every play, growing very loud and picking up speed as the play developed, until we either scored or were forced to punt, for probably 15-20 years.
Sorry about that Mexmustang, I meant I noticed it on 3rd downs.

Here is the rule for those curious:

Rule 9-2.b.6: .

Or to put it more simply, if loyalty counts for nothing, then why should I (or anyone else) remain loyal?
Loyalty to my alma mater is really the only reason I hung on for so many years, and supported this institution with my time, my effort, and my money. What I had to give I poured back in, because this was where I came from. If the current administration is determined to erase that connection, what am I to do? If all connections to my past are broken, nothing else holds me here. There is nothing left but simply to drift away.

Balatrones were professional jesters or clowns, in ancient Rome. Literally translated from Latin, it means "from a wicked jester".
My previous handles were Prof. X and The XTC. I'm not able to use those names anymore, so I had to make a new one.

Apparently the site made a software change and my old password was "unable to convert". The email I used to make XTC doesnt exist anymore, so I couldnt make a new password for that name.
I had a case of food poisoning last Saturday, but I'm fine now.

"Persons subject to the rules, including bands, shall not create any noise that prohibits a team from hearing its signals..."
Couch em, would a team have to complain? or just a referee taking it upon himself? Again if we only did it when we had possession and turned it down (volume) like we used to, why have we stopped? It was a big part of our football presentation--annoying if you drew seat in front of the band, who cares, we were just students then.
