They might be pleased it was made public, it gives them a chance to see what kind of reaction is generated in advance of making any kind of committment.

has anyone found more info about him being an all american? i looked on the website and it definitely doesn't list a Kenny Turner on the All American roster for 2007, 2008 or 2009. also, it seems strange that if this guy is really so ridiculous that no one besides smu and new mexico state would give him a chance. this whole thing just feels kinda weird.

Somehow I don't think so.

"My plan B? To execute plan A." What a great quote by Turner. Love it.

I don't know what to think about this. Guess I'll just have to trust in JJ.

I haven't looked for JC All-American but I did see he was Offensive Player of the Year in his JC Conference in 2009

What is really odd is it says right there that he is Offensive Player of the Year, yet when you look at the all-conference selections, he isn't on the list. How can you be Offensive POY and not be 1st team all-conference?

Edit: I notice the Defensive POY doesn't show up on the all-conference list either.

I guess they don't want to double up on the honors.

Edit again: I think, but not sure, that since Turner is a Juco Freshman, he might not qualify as a JuCo all american; I think they are all sophomores.

that's the way most All-District, All-Conference teams are-guess its done to recognize more people. Its almost universal in Texas High School Football. JUCOs and High Schools after all are trying to get these kids scholarships. What's really bad is when districts name for example 10 Offensive Lineman to the First Team All District Team-starting to see a lot of that.

Question, if this kid was not an athlete and was applying to SMU as a student, would his past affect his chances of getting into SMU? Like if he was in prison, was release, went to JC and got great grades and a great SAT....would the fact that he went to jail mean he could not get in as a student?

Also, I just sported wood when I watched him run and catch passes out of the shotgun.
