What I'd like to know is what he saw last night that he liked so much?

A chance to come in and play right away, by the time he signs on the dotted line in Feb 2013 the 2 QBs he saw last night will be long gone and all that's left on the roster at the position is 2 3 stars who shouldn't give a talent like him much trouble that is if they even plan on sticking around now.

I need to know if I can stop sulking after last night.

Once upon a time, an invitation to the Elite 11 tournament would mean you were generally regarded as one of the top 11 QB prospects in the country. Although from what I can tell from a 2-second read of their site, they invited 24 kids last year. So it's safe to say he would be a Top-25 recruit at the QB position as it stands right now. From what I hear, he is (or will be when he's rated) a 4-star recruit right now. Based on his offers, not to mention the list of top schools with recruiters specifically assigned to him, I can't imagine that he's not at least 4 stars .... With the one caveat being that he's only coming into his junior season.

Hopefully we can hang on to him. I think this is the calibre of athlete that June didnt have the opportunity to realisticly recruit at Hawaii. With June's NFL pedigree, this is the kind of player we were hoping would be attracted to the program. As has been mentioned before, especially if you're a QB, receiver, and now with Klemm an OL, SMU provides what basically equates to a nice NFL prep program with our facilities and quality of coaching.

I would imagine Coach Klemm promised him that he (Klemm) would still be here and will have recruited a studly group of OL to protect him if/when he gets here

I think he saw (as someone put it before) a chance to play and early.

We could be ok without signing a QB this year. Next year we have Padron, Preston and Kaiser. I would not be surprised if Kaiser played this year if the situation was right (big lead or big deficit) since he has already red shirted. If injuries cause us to need a 3rd QB to start, my money would be on Preston, but if just to get playing experience, I would bet on Kaiser, and let Preston red shirt. That would give us a good pecking order till 2013.

Yes, we should sign one this year but as long as there are no defections** we would be ok.

**always a possibility that would change everything.

Good that he will start helping us recruit for the next 2 years. 2013 class just got off to a stellar start. with a 5 start recruit considered to be arguably the top QB in the nation.

Greatest show on turf college style.

I think what he saw was all the wide open receivers and no one getting them the ball!

Consider the real possibility that a 2013 QB could graduate early, enroll in January, compete during spring practice to try and win the starting job that should open up in 2013. Since he committed early hopefully there will be plenty of time for him to get academic requirements completed early. I'd bet that is part of the sales-job. The last think you want to happen is to sit behind the new 2013 starter -say Connor Preston and wait your turn if Preston is successful

Link to Lassiter High School victory against Sprayberry. Couldn't find Printz's stats, but he looks very efficient.

Saw his stats earlier for his last game, think they were 15-21 for ~340 yards and 3 tds
