My understanding is that the offers to SMU/UH were not conditional but rater the condition was that if the four (BSU, AFA, SMU, and UH) joined then the BE members have agreed to up the exit fee in that case.

Also - WV and louisville could still bolt to big 12, mizz could still go to SEC. far from over. I am very happy, just cautiously so...esp if we can't join till 2013.

Geez the East is going to be better and more lucrative financially even if it eventually loses its BCS and even if the Big East implodes. Take a look at the schools in the South and East that are going to have to play somewhere
