Why would we care if those schools leave...they bring no BCS points...
The goal of moving was to consolidate and lose dead weight...we have done that...thos schools can go and we will backfill again with the next teams that start crashing the bcs party....
who knows maybe tulsa....but I doubt it...

IMO, if the Big XII goes after Louisville and Cincinnati, Texas will go independent. UT and OU want to keep the conference at 10 and not have to play a championship game.

s long as you keep boise, houston, academies, ect....
Everything will be fine...
and worst case scenario you guys would suck us off as we re-entered conference usa/mwc/sunbelt...

I kindof hate that username bc Widespread Panic is hands down the most awful band on the earth.
But its been around forever. giddyup and I started our internet message board relationship on the old WAC/MWC boards on ESPN around 2000. Good times.

You can't wait? Well, let's hope that doesn't happen. I think it's unlikely. Let's hope for SMU (you know the school you're supposedly a fan of) that I'm right.
Im just playing internet friend.
I love the Ponies (not as much as Tulsa) but I hate the system bc...well its hella gay...and Im totally butthurt

Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, A&M. They left UT's conference for a reason. It will be UT/OU and their little hos (TCU, WVU, Baylor, KU, KSU, OSU, ISU, and TT). Every couple of years, UT will make a new demand, threaten to leave and the kiddies who don't like it will find a new home and UT/OU will invite another sap to join them.

Tulsa is a good program. I'm guessing you went there for UG. We all have strong affiliations with our UG. The reality is SMU has more upside plus we have significantly much more resources. I support both my undergraduate and graduate schools equally. My graduate school though doesn't have a D-1 football program so my football loyalty lies solely with SMU.

Yep TU 1995
my cred
Been going to Tulsa Football games as long as I can remember. Season ticket holder. Saw all the Nolan Teams 1980-1985 @ the convention center growing up.
Got to see the 1991 team beat Aggie at skelly and win the Freedom Bowl (AP top 21 finish)
Got to see Tubby take the team to back to back sweet 16s 94,95
Have been seeing SMU Football since 2002. Sat through the 0-11 year. Watched some decent Pony hoops games with Isham, Ross, BHOP and Castro. Ive seen SMU lose to some really horrible teams and even worse coaches @ Moody. Have gotten kicked out of Moody. Made Mike Dement's wife cry. Heckled Bhop. Praised Bhop. Seen Isham jump out of Moody a few times. I saw a CIT game @ Moody it was really awful.

Sounds like you're overdue for better times at SMU. It's better now than it was 5-10 years ago, and I think we will only keep getting better. Our recruiting efforts are a good indicator of potential future performance and we have the best recruiting class in C-USA, in fact, it's on par with the top guys from the BE.
