I would think under 40mph would probably be ok because of the trees and buildings, but over 40mph winds and all bets are off.

Anybody know about how much MPH wind the typical pop-up tailgate tent can take? I was assuming anything over about 30mph could be a danger to our tailgate tents? On the SMU website for Blvd rules it states: "
Tents must be erected without stakes for support". But we may need stakes if high winds are predicted this weekend. High winds and these pop-up tents don't mix well.

With a game like this one which could be close in the 4th quarter and come down to ball control and maybe a comeback with timely passes.....SMU really needs the 4th quarter wind, so we must plan accordingly on the coin flip, if we win the flip.

They make weights, similar to barbell weights, to put at the base of the tent poles to hold it down in the wind. I've seen some put two of these weights on each pole. Find out where they sell these tents in our area and you can probably get the weights there.

Bad weather forces our ground game. Line rushes for 220, 3 touchdowns. Impressive performance pushes him to lead Doak award finalists.

Just make sure you start drinking early and then it will be really funny when your tent blows over.
