Allow me to be the one to mention that SDSU will probably finish with a better record than SMU this year. What exactly does SMU add that San Diego doesnt? Football is roughly equivalent, and SMU will actually hurt the Big Easts basketball ratings. Be careful about throwing stones, because that "POS mid-major" label fits more than a few of the teams invited to the Big Desperation Conference.
exactly SMU is lucky as hell to be invited to the BE and to make it work then SDSU may be the price. If BYU punts you move on. What do endowments have to do with realignment-and why doesn't that apply to Boise(60M). Because endownment doesn't matter. Why not Rice-Right because endowment only matters to YOU. Tulane? Why did West Virginia get a Big 12 offer? What is Houston and UCF's endowment? Its about markets and TV sets which San Diego brings. BTW Boise recruits California very strong so I bet they aren't that disappointed with this. Otherwise they would be cut off from their recruiting base-not a great idea.
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
If SMU stayed in the superconference they could get the Poinsetta bowl and a trip to San Diego.
Just saying...
Looks like BYU told them to get dead today.
From a TV and recruiting thing its a good deal for the West wing...but this will force UCONN and Rutgers to the ACC. No way they are happy with a school 5 hours away.
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier
The Big East has decided "to move on" and is no longer pursuing BYU as a conference member, college football industry sources told CBSSports.com Tuesday.
Earlier Tuesday morning, sources previously had told CBSSports.com that unless BYU decided to relinquish its television rights for its home football games, the Cougars would not join the Big East.
"The Big East has moved on," a source said about the prospect of adding BYU.
The Cougars had been in discussions with the Big East for weeks about joining the league.

Sorry KTP, your tiny tulsa town still doesn't get any interest. You are lost in the forlorn state of OK. Let's face it, nice place to visit but no clout with the TV mkts. etc. Enjoy the 'losers and lost' conference.

Not your 'brah' and don't care for your ignorant [deleted]. Go away. If you were a pony fan you wouldn't spout the crap that comes out of your mouth. As they say ' ignorance is bliss' and you are a shining example.

I was there while the Canucks were in the Stanley Cup playoffs and that place was the craziest sports scene I've ever been a part of. We left prior to their Game 7 defeat (thank God), but talk about some passionate, dedicated, and LOUD fans!
Canucks fans are the best in hockey (rioters weren't fans).
