I am not attacking anyone in particular, and I certainly don't want to drive off committed fans, I just think that we need to focus on the team more than the coach. Like it or not, the combination of JJ playcalling and our team executing put up 72 points and won by 30.
And I fear that moving house will impede my presence there on Saturday afternoon, but assuming I can get the internet hooked up I will most certainly be watching.
And as for the UCF game, I'd love to be there, but watch out for flying hunks of ice.

Interestingly the concept of downs is, while foreign to Gaelic football, not foreign to rugby league football, where the team has to kick it away after the fifth tackle, a very similar concept.

You're dreaming....not ever gonna happen....if we are 1-11 or we are 11-1.

I'd love to read what the naysayers would say if we actually went 11-1

Is that a realist possibility with this staff and schedule?

If we went 11-1 in our current schedule, I'll build JJ a statue of himself.

You can hear the Peanut gallery on the sidelines and the players/coachea can hear - most likely tuned out but you can hear it. "Run the ball June"was echoing through the stadium to eat the clock. Yes, i was nervous being up by 17 with a clear momentum shift.. I think our problem compared to other places is lack of noise - they all do this in college and pro..
I prefer away games b/c i can yell, cheer and nobody cares or looks at you funny for standing.

hey...it happens.
there are OU "fans" that want Bob Stoops scalp if they lose a game.
people are crazy....it's funny...and it's not going to change.
at the end of every season there's only one happy team.
and even with that team if the next year there is a letdown....lookout!
ha ha ha....

Problem is, JJ has proven he can't beat a team with even a winning record. The likelihood of him taking this team to an 11-1 record is so unbelievably slim.

This has nothing to do with whether June deserves it or not (and I feel pretty sure he doesn't give tuppence for what someone in the stand has to say about what play he calls next), it has to do with the perception of our fans by others. That's all.
And, while I don't recall screaming obscenities until I met up with the UH band afterwards, I am not against obscenities at games (presence of children being the only issue). But I grew up supporting teams whose fans tried to lift the team, not fans who want to show everyone around them that they know best.
People on here think I'm a JJ supporter. And I am. As I was a Bennett supporter and a Cavan supporter when I arrived. I want the team to do well. I want the coach to succeed. I don't sit at a computer with a box kleenex fantasizing about proving someone myself right or someone else wrong.
Why don't you take your buds to a Tech game? Now THERE'S some football fans, huh?
Quit whining about our fans.

Right quit whinning about the "fans" and just let the "fans" whine about JJ

So we should focus on the team, not the guy in charge of the team?
This thread is stupid. No matter what was said, I'll put down a grand that I can take you to 50 stadiums that make ours look like preschool. We are tame compared to most schools.
If your friends were offended, they're a bunch of deleteds
I'm sure you can figure out deleteds...

I would be saying that I am tired of the DISRESPECT shown the alumni and University. I don't care if you win or lose, but the type of character you show at the best of times and worst of times. June has failed in showing any character or teaching a valuable life lesson to the team when losing that you hold your head high and respect the fans present and the University. June has to go---win or lose.

I never said anyone was offended, just that they found our fans (not all but enough) to he whiney, ignorant and self-focused.
And I've been to sporting events thst would probably make you c*** your pants.

Along those same lines I've thought our fans are unique in that...SMU grads are generally successful people....they have the McMansions, they have the Benz or BMW, they have the good job, they have the connections....but they absolutely hate the fact that at dinner at Bob's, at church on Sunday, or at the office water cooler their team is made fun of. Guys with degrees from Tech laugh at them or smirk when they ask "how did SMU do against Tulane yesterday?" Almost everything else in life they can "beat their chests" and be cocky and self-assured....but they want to close this long on-going embarrassment...this insecurity so badly, so quickly, they sometimes act irrational, angry, and attack their own. FIRE JUNE IF HE WINS 11 GAMES THIS YEAR! (ha ha)
