I noticed that in today's presser that June said something to the effect that "of course the goal is to win the conference championship and always has been". Wonder if he and Hart had a little chat?

yea i really think the problem is "reading too much into things" when June claims - OUR GOAL IS TO GET TO THE HAWAII BOWL.

I bet June looked up the location of the bowl that the C-USA champion plays in and was genuinely surprised it wasn't the Hawaii Bowl. Honest mistake.

He's been a C-USA coach for 5 years now. He knows where the damn bowl game is.

The point is that winning the conference championship is a clear goal for every team that's ever laced 'em up. He doesn't have to say that any more than he has to say he hopes to be alive in the morning. The Hawaii Bowl is a good goal -- it motivates the team. I believe June is a master motivator, even if it sometimes sets the Cole Haan crowd off.

Sure, the way to motivate the team is to tout the lesser bowl rather than saying we control out destiny for the conference championship. If the is what June is doing he needs to rethink his motivational speeches.

Let's all be perfectly honest, occam's razor - June said exactly what he meant and he would rather this team go to the Hawaii Bowl than win the conference championship. Everything since Is spin by both Hart and Jones.
